About Vegas to Reno 2021

August 11-15 2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the Best in the Desert race, Vegas to Reno. The Maxxis Tires "Casey Folks" Vegas to Reno 550 mile race makes it the longest single day race in the United States. This competition is one of the most challenging ultra-distance competitions in the world. Team Hytiva, led by Wes Miller has their sights set on taking home first place in the UTV Forced Induction Class.

Originally, the race was set to run backwards to finish in Las Vegas, but this was changed back due to the Bureau of Land Management requiring all off-road races to begin or finish in Bonnie Claire, NV. Best in the Desert will announce a host hotel in Las Vegas for tech and registration, as well as a host hotel in Reno in the weeks ahead.

Race day will be Friday, August 13th from the start line in Las Vegas. The after-race awards ceremony and pool party will be held on Saturday August 14 at the Sands Hotel & Casino.
