DIY: Cannabis Infused Olive Oil
Cannabis-infused olive oil can be used in a variety of edibles and offers a canna-kitchen a great go-to ingredient when looking to quickly infuse a meal. Olive oil is filled with antioxidants and nutrients, being much healthier than other cooking oils and perfect for infusing with the medicinal qualities of THC and CBDs. Just be careful not to vaporize the cannabinoids in the oil by over-heating them – whenever cooking with cannabis, don’t go over about 315 degrees (so frying with infused oil is out of the question).
Ingredients Needed:
4 cups virgin olive oil
1 ounce ground cannabis
*Potency of olive oil depends on parts of plant used along with strain and THC levels. More or less cannabis can be used to raise/lower potency.
Materials Needed:
Medium saucepan
Stirring spoon
Cheesecloth
Air-tight container for storing final product
Grinder (optional)
Prep Time: 5 minutes.
Cooking Time: 3 hours.
