Sweet Canna Cornbread
A classic Southern side dish that’s sweet, moist, and infused with cannabis.
Cannabis-infused cornbread is easy to make, and provides us several options regarding which ingredients we choose to use that are infused. Below you’ll see that this recipe calls for butter, flour, milk, oil, and sugar – all ingredients that can be infused with cannabis! It isn’t recommended using all five infused ingredients – you’ll just get an extremely potent cornbread that tastes like herb and that’s not what making edibles is all about. Keep it simple; use two cannabis-infused ingredients to keep the sweet and delicious taste while ensuring the cornbread doesn’t knock you down to the ground once the effects kick in! We recommend using CannaButter and CannaMilk, but it’s up to you!
Ingredients Needed:
4 tablespoons CannaButter, softened
1 ½ cups CannaMilk
1 ½ cups flour (CannaFlour?)
1/3 cup oil (CannaOil?)
2/3 cup sugar
½ cup cornmeal of choice
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
*Note: Potency of sweet cornbread depends upon potency of CannaButter, CannaMilk, and whether other ingredients are substituted.
Materials Needed:
8-inch square baking pan OR 12 cup muffin pan
2 Mixing bowls
Spatula
Toothpick
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Sweet Canna Cornbread Recipe
1. Preheat Oven & Prep Pan.
A. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
B. Grease 8-inch square baking pan with shortening OR muffin pan (you may use cupcake liners).
2. Combine Ingredients
A. In one mixing bowl, combine flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well blended.
B. In second mixing bowl, combine butter, milk, eggs, and oil, mixing until well blended.
C. Slowly pour flour mixture into butter mixture while stirring with spatula. Stir all ingredients together until well blended.
3. Pour & Bake
A. Pour batter into baking pan. If using muffin pan, pour into each muffin cup until 2/3 full.
B. If using pan, bake for 40 minutes or until inserting toothpick into middle of pan comes out clean. If using muffin pan, bake for 30 minutes or until inserting toothpick into a muffin comes out clean.
*Note: Do not overheat cornbread above 325 degrees otherwise THC and CBDs will vaporize.
4. Cool & Enjoy!
Take cornbread out of oven and allow to cool before cutting and serving!
