K1

K1 is a stiva-dominant hybrid cannabis strain that smells and tastes like earthy pine with hints of spices and ammonia. Its buds are a jungle green, covered in a sticky layer of trichomes that look like dew drops and amber pistils.

K1 won third place in 2014’s Denver Cannabis Cup within the hash segment. 

The THC levels of K1 are currently still debatable. However, its high is known to be mostly cerebral, offering the consumer a pleasant fit of giggles as the high takes on and relaxing the mind of all negativity. It’s been described by reviewers to “blow your mind” with its ability to induce creativity and ease the body into a relaxed state to accompany the mind’s need for stimulation.

If consumed in high doses, K1 can cause paranoia or anxiousness depending on tolerance. 

The parent strains of K1 are a cross between the sativa Durban Poison and the hybrid LA Kush. Some have claimed that K1 is a cross between Durban Poison and OG Kush.
